Eligibility Critieria

Under Graduate

MBBS

  • Candidates must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year.
  • Passed the PUC exam conducted by a recognized board with PCB as compulsory subject.

OR

  • Passed the BSc examination of Bangalore University or any other statutory University with  Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology as mandatory subjects.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% total marks in Science subjects altogether at the qualifying examination and qualified in entrance exam: NEET UG. 


For foreign students, 

  • A NOC from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi must be produced.

Post-Graduate

MD/MS

  • Students seeking admission must have earned an MBBS degree from a recognized Medical College affiliated with any university recognized by MCI.
  • The Candidates must have qualified PGCET/COMED-K/NEET PG exams.
  • Candidates must have completed a 1-year rotating internship in a teaching institution recognized by MCI.
  • The Candidates must have registered their MBBS degree with the respective State Medical Council.

Para-Medical

  • The Minimum Age is 15 years and the Upper Age limit is 35 Years. If the Candidate belongs to SC/ST, a relaxation of up to 40 Years is given.

 

For All Para-Medical Courses except Dip.Medical Record Technology

  • Passed in II PUC or equivalent examination with Science subject ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology /Botany /Zoology ) OR Passed in SSLC / X – Standard / Equivalent Examination.

 

For Medical Record Technology,

  • Passed in II PUC/Equivalent examination with any subjects (PCMC/PCME/Commerce/Arts) OR Passed in SSLC/Equivalent examination.

Course duration: Post S.S.L.C (3 years+ 6 months internship, Post P.U.C. (2 years+ 6 months internship)

 

Admission & Selection Process:

  • Admission to various programs at KIMS is made based on the candidate’s performance in Entrance Exams.
  • Aspirants are required to obtain minimum qualifying percentile marks in the entrance examination in order to qualify for further admission process.
  • All College seats including the NRI and Management quota are allotted on a merit basis only through counseling.
  • Selection will be based on the rank obtained by the students in entrance exams.

Cutoff:

  • The cut-off is the minimum mark prescribed by the selection board for admission.
  • The merit list will be created based on the Cutoff scores only.
  • For SC/ST Candidates, they must secure a minimum of 40% marks for AIQ and state counseling process.

  • There is no concept of Placement in many Government or Private Colleges.  Unlike Engineering, MBA & Degree, Medicine is Unique

  • After the completion of the course, the graduates will opt to practice in the Hospitals or start their own.

Hostel: There are 2 Separate hostels for boys and girls on the campus and can accommodate 200 students each. Student Welfare Officers and Wardens are available to students 24/7 to solve queries related to curricular activities and provide suitable remedies.

Men & Ladies Hostel: Both the hostels have 83 rooms each and they are well furnished to accommodate 2-3 persons. There is a guest room for visitors. The hostel also has an internet facility with a broadband connection. The hostel also has a book-reading facility. It also has mess facilities with 24/7 surveillance.

Transport: There are 5 buses including one minibus and two Maruthi vans available to facilitate the ease of transportation of students to and from the Banashankari campus to the Hospital premises.

Sports/Gym: Multi-Station Gym which is fully equipped with TreadMills and other required facilities is available. Indoor Games facilities for Chess, Carrom, and Table tennis is available. A new sports complex is also coming up which will house two Tennis Courts, Basketball and Volleyball Courts, and an Amphitheatre.

Canteen: A new canteen with modern amenities is open on the college campus.

Bank & ATM facilities: Punjab National Bank is situated on the college campus to facilitate the needs of the students. ATM facilities are also available in the campus.
