With a set of an expert faculty member and an active administration supporting the education, BMSIT&M is set to impart the most advanced curriculum of studies. The college offers almost every core and trending engineering course as BTech and MTech in Computer Applications.
Admissions to the college are mostly done based on the performance of the aspirant in common entrance exams like COMEDK and KCET. However, the college accepts direct admission for students securing more than 60% marks in class 12 exams with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
BMSIT&M since its establishment back in 1999 has always maintained its standards of imparting professional education. Eligibility for undergraduate program
In order to be eligible to study at BMSIT&M, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12 standard. Also, the candidate must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% in English.
Admission process for undergraduate program
In order to apply for any engineering course in BMSIT&M, the candidate, once satisfying the above eligibility criteria, needs to go through entrance exams. The college accepts recipients of KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test), Diploma CET (KEA) | AICTE J&K, and COMEDK applicants. The college also accepts direct admissions for students who have scored more than 60% marks in class 12.
Eligibility for postgraduate program
In order to apply for your master’s as ME/MTech, the candidate must have qualified their BE/BTech with a minimum aggregate of 50%. It is also a prerequisite that the candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in that subject.
Admission process for undergraduate program
For admissions into BMSIT&M’s advanced MTech program, the candidate has to go through entrance exams for Post Graduation. The college accepts candidates scoring high in exams like PGCET (KEA), GATE, AICTE J&K, PGCET (COMEDK).
How is Education at BMSIT&M?
BMSIT&M believes more in Outcome-based Learning in which students are encouraged to implement their learning into practical experiences. Further, in final years, students are also exposed to various project-based learning adding up to the advanced course curriculum.
One of the finest examples to showcase the dedication of the college towards the quality of education is its mentorship program. Every 20 students are allotted a dedicated mentor who will guide them with the best academic and other aspects. The Institute also promotes the spirit of self-learning and innovating while encouraging the students to gain knowledge through experiential learning.

The main campus of BMS Institute of Technology and Management is located nearly 5 km north of Yelahanka Satellite Town, on SH-9. This elegant campus is spread across 23 acres and is filled with all priority facilities for a student as well as the staff. Some of the major attractions of the BMSIT&M college campus are;
Hostel Life
BMIT&M has a greater understanding that it’s always challenging when a student leaves their homes behind to study further in a new place. Addressing this very concern, the college makes sure your hostel life is comfortable, fun-filled, and homely. The college hostel includes four blocks, three for boys and one for girls. On a full scale, the hostel infrastructure can be a home to 622 students. The college also provides separate housing opportunities for international students. Proper transportation to & from the college is an added boon.
The Physical Education & Sports Department at BMSIT&M, claimed to be one of the finest, carries a clear vision of identifying and encouraging pure sports skills. Apart from an expert panel of faculty with a proven track record, the college backs up the department with some of the modern sports equipment and facilities. The campus has Cricket Nets of size 1,200 sq Mts located in the northeast part along with three multipurpose for Basketball & Tennis, Volleyball, Throwball, and Badminton. Before all that, the huge free zone, along with Football & Hockey fields is itself a spread across 4,264 Sq Mts. The college campus also includes a few indoor games as well. There are shuttle badminton courts, a multipurpose indoor hall, and a gymnasium.
One of the great areas of marking the holistic growth of a college student is the active participation in college clubs and associations. BMSIT&M makes sure students have enough opportunities to establish, joining and running various clubs and associations aiding their development. Many active clubs like the nature club were recognized by AICTE, achieving the college award for the ‘best Green Campus’. Other clubs like the Civil Defence, Psychology Clubs, and more have active engagement in social and corporate activities.
Green Campus
The campus of BMS Institute of Technology & Management is well recognized as a remarkable example of promoting environmental sustainability and growth. The college and its students have made several initiatives like afforestation, use of lawn development using Mexican lawn and buffalo, developing compost, and more. All the initiatives have also been recognized in many reputed awards shows and events for the best horticultural show.
