Post-Graduate

M.Tech

• 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor's degree (B.E/B.Tech) in all the semesters  & 50% score in PUC in the subject if common to Bachelor

Ph.D

• BMSIT offers full-time, part-time & distance learning options based on the discipline and eligibility of the candidate.
• Completion of  UG/PG programs for full-time Research studies
• Minimum 1-year professional experience for part-time
• Students pursuing M.Sc (Engg)/M. Tech may apply to get a Dual Integral Degree

M. Sc in Engineering

• 60% aggregate in B.E./B.Tech. 10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates
• Teaching staff with minimal experience of 1 year and completion of B.E./B.Tech.
• Employees sponsored by organizations with a minimum 1-year experience and completion of B.E./B.Tech.

In addition to the above eligibility criteria, the candidate must have a  GATE or equivalent level qualification in the last 5 years.

Admission & Selection Process:

The admission and selection process for BMSIT & M varies depending on the program you are applying for.

Undergraduate programs:

• Apply for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). KCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in Karnataka.
• Appear for the KCET exam. The exam is held every year in the month of April or May.
• Check your KCET rank. The KEA will publish a merit list of all the candidates who appeared for the exam, based on their scores.
• Attend the KCET counseling. The KEA will conduct counseling sessions for all the eligible candidates. During counseling, you will be able to select the colleges and programs you want to apply for.
• Get your seat allotted. The KEA will allot seats to candidates based on their merit rank and the choices they make during counseling.
• Report to your allotted college. Once you have been allotted a seat, you need to report to your allotted college to complete the admission process.

Postgraduate programs:

Fees Structure

• The fee payable during the time of reporting to the college for CET students is Rs. 50,270/- (GM Category)
• The Fee payable during the time of reporting to the college for COMED-K is Rs. 30,810/- per annum.
• The Fee payable during the time of reporting to the college for Lateral Entry Students is Rs. 46,630/- per annum.
• The Fee payable during the time of reporting to the college for MCA, MBA & MTech students is Rs. 30,810/- (GM Category) per annum.
• The Hostel fee is Rs. 1,40,600 to 1,86,100/- per annum depending on the room preference

Scholarships

BMSIT&M offers  three categories of scholarships to eligible students

• Government Agencies - For SC/ST, backward community, minority scholarship, MHRD scholarship & schemes under National Scholarship Portal
• Private Agencies - Jindal scholarship & Private Trusts/societies etc
• BMS Education Trust - Amount up to Rs. 1,50,000/- for high-scoring students and for passed-out students with good aggregate whose parental income of Rs. 4,50,000/- 

BMSIT&M has a dedicated placement cell that organizes in-house training, industry interactions, and coaching through alumni interactions. The number of recruiting companies at BMSIT has been increasing steadily over the years. In 2022, more than 500 companies, including 25 Fortune companies, visited the campus.

BMSIT attracts a mix of recruiting companies from various sectors, including IT companies, accounting and consulting firms, core engineering firms, and Unicorns of India.
In 2022, BMSIT&M students received 1100 job offers from 312 companies. The average CTC was 7.8 LPA.

BMSIT&M provides double/triple sharing hostel accommodation for students. The college has four hostel blocks, three of which are for boys and one is for girls. The girls' hostel is located about 4 km away from the campus, and the college provides a bus service to transport students to and from the hostel.

• Accommodation: Double/triple sharing rooms
• Facilities: Fully furnished rooms with beds, tables, chairs, wardrobes, and other amenities. Each hostel block also has a common room with a TV, refrigerator, and other facilities.
• Food: The hostel provides vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to students. There is also a separate mess for international students.
• Transportation: The college provides a bus service to transport students to and from the girls' hostel.

The BMSIT&M hostel facilities are designed to provide students with a comfortable and safe place to stay while they are pursuing their studies at the college.

• Library - 

BMSIT occupies a sprawling 1418 square meters of floor space. The library is a two-story structure designed to accommodate more than 250 individuals. The ground floor serves as the circulation area, while the first floor offers a digital library, browsing facilities, and private reading rooms. Additionally, the library is open on Sundays and during regular holidays, particularly around exam periods.

• Sports - BMSIT has allocated a total area of 8,472 sq Mts for sports.  There are qualified trainers to coach for Indoor and outdoor games, for individual & team sports. The college has won a few prizes in different sports activities.
• Transport - BMSIT offers college buses covering all the main bus routes in the city to ease the travel pressure on the students.

• Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) - BMSIT&M gets KSCST funding for selected final year projects, once complete the final year students get the opportunity to showcase the innovation at a State level exhibition
