Eligibility Criteria

Under-Graduate

BE

  • Pass the 2nd PUC/12th/Equivalent Exam with English as one of the languages
  • Obtain a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computers
  • Obtain a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Physics & Mathematics along with the optional subjects like Chemistry/Electronics/Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science for SC/ST
  • Qualify in one of the following entrance exams: CET/ COMED-K / JEE / AIEEE

Post-Graduate

Specific eligibility criteria for some PG courses at CMRIT:

  • MBA: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka).
  • MCA: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with Mathematics Statistics, or Business Statistics as one of the optional electives.
  • M.Tech: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in a relevant field with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka).

Admission & Selection Process

Under-Graduate

The UG Admission Process at CMRIT takes place through any one of the following

  • Common Entrance Test (CET) Selection
  • COMEDK Selection Process
  • Management Admission 

Common Entrance Test (CET):

  • KEA conducts CET which is approved by Govt. of Karnataka
  • This exam proves as a gateway to obtain an engineering seat through the Government quota. 
  • CET conducts examinations in four subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. 
  • Depending upon the scores and ranking, At CET Counseling, Students can choose CMRIT 

COMEDK:

  • COMEDK conducts entrance examinations for all students irrespective of any state. 
  • Centralized counseling will be conducted based on the test scores.
  • In counseling, they can choose CMRIT.

Management Admission:

  • It is open to both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students. 
  • Candidates will be selected based on their academic merit and performance.

Post-Graduate

The PG Admission Process at CMRIT takes place through any one of the following

  • Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) Admission Process
  • Management Admission Process

Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) Admission Process:

  • KEA conducts PGCET during May / June each year. 
  • Mandatory for Admission to colleges affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
  • PGCET Counseling will be conducted based on the ranks that students get.
  • At the time of Centralized Counseling, students can choose CMRIT.

MBA

  • Candidates must have taken one of the following examinations to qualify: PGCET/KMAT/CMAT/CAT/MAT

Sports Facilities: Two basketball courts, a football ground, a volleyball court, indoor table tennis courts, a cricket arena, and Two Gyms with equipment. Separate teams for Hockey, Kho-Kho, and Kabaddi, football, basketball, cricket, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, throw the ball, athletics, swimming, chess, and more.

  • Laboratory: The college has lab infrastructure with over 300 workstations that can be used for conducting online tests simultaneously as part of campus placement drives.

What is an Incubation Center (IC)? 

The CMRIT Incubation Center is responsible for nurturing innovative ideas by hand-holding the founders through the business proposal stage, identifying the target market, creating a solution, providing guidance, industry exposure, pre-launch activities, and exposure to the investor community. 

Students will gain hands-on experience in innovation and entrepreneurship while being nurtured and encouraged by faculty, management, and industry experts.

CMRIT has partnered with Sherpify, an organization committed deeply to helping students reach their highest aspirations. The Sherpify management team has years of experience working in some of the largest and most successful global organizations.
