Eligibility Criteira

Under Graduate

MBBS

  •  The candidate must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories). 
  • Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects from a recognized institute.
  • Qualifying in NEET exam is mandatory. For some seats, candidates have to qualify for the college’s entrance examination.

 

Post-Graduate

MD/MS 

  • Candidates have to be Qualified in the PG entrance Test Conducted by the National Board of Examination, New Delhi
  • Candidates should be passed in the courses leading to the award of  MBBS Degree in colleges recognized by MCI  and affiliated to any University established by law in India.

 

Admission & Selection Process

Under-Graduate (MBBS)

Admission to all college seats, including those under the NRI and Management quotas, is strictly merit-based and facilitated solely through Karnataka NEET counseling. The selection of candidates is determined by their ranking in the NEET UG examination, which is conducted nationwide by the CBSE.

Post-Graduate (MD/MS)

Admission to all college seats, including those in the NRI and Management quotas, is solely based on merit through Karnataka NEET counseling. Candidates are selected based on their ranking in the NEET PG examination, conducted nationwide by the National Board of Examination.

Cutoff:

The threshold score required for student admission to college is referred to as the "college cut-off." These cut-off scores form the basis for creating the merit list. The institute has specific cut-offs for various courses, which applicants need to satisfy.

To progress to the next stage of the admission process, candidates must attain the minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET 2022 entrance exam.

For both the All India Quota (AIQ) and state counseling procedures, SC, ST, or OBC candidates must secure marks equivalent to at least the 40th percentile. Meanwhile, applicants in the Unreserved (UR) category need to achieve a score at or above the 50th percentile.

The Medical College and Hospital is situated on a large 350-acre campus on the outskirts of Tumkur City, 6 kilometers from the city, surrounded by greenery. SIMSRH has a 300-bed medical college hospital, which will be gradually upgraded to more beds later on.  The Hospital has 18 clinical departments with qualified specialists under one roof. There is an upgraded laboratory with all the latest and High-Tech equipment. Along with this, a very well-equipped radiology department with MRI, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray equipment with quality standards. A fully equipped casualty care with 24 x 7 doctors and other staff to provide service at the time of accidents and emergencies.
