JEE Main April Session Exam Dates Changed: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a revised schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2024 session 2. According to the new schedule, the exams will take place between April 4-15, 2024. Candidates can access the full schedule on the official website.
As per the revised schedule, the registration process for JEE Mains session 2 started on February 2, 2024, and will continue until March 2, 2024. The results for the second session of JEE Mains will be declared on April 25, 2024.
Previously, the CBSE had requested the NTA to reschedule the JEE Mains session 2 exams due to clashes with the exam dates for CBSE Class 12 board exams. Initially scheduled from April 1-15, 2024, session 2 of JEE Mains will now commence from April 4, 2024. This adjustment aims to avoid overlap with CBSE class 12 exams scheduled for April 1 and 2, 2024.
The JEE (Mains) exam consists of two sessions. Session 1 concluded on February 1, 2024, and the results are expected on February 12, 2024. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programs (B.E/B.Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. Additionally, JEE (Mains) Paper 1 serves as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), the gateway to IIT admissions. JEE (Mains) Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses.
