The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the registration window for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2024) session 2 today, marking the last opportunity for candidates to apply for the upcoming engineering entrance exam. Scheduled to take place from April 4 to 15, 2024 the exam will be conducted across 544 centres in 291 cities nationwide. Candidates who have not previously registered will need to submit a fresh application on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Notably, candidates who opted for both sessions during the registration for session 1 need not reapply. They can utilize their existing registration details to access the exam. Eligibility criteria dictate that candidates who have appeared for the Class 12 board exams in 2022, 2023, or are set to appear in 2024 are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2024 session 2. The NTA has emphasized that only candidates who have not applied previously will need to register anew.
The registration process will conclude at 11 pm today, with the deadline for fee payment set at 11.50 pm. Applicants are advised to complete their registration and payment within the stipulated time frame to avoid any last-minute hassles.
In terms of login options, candidates can utilize their DigiLocker account number, Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID), passport number, PAN card number, or Aadhaar enrollment number. Those who opt not to use DigiLocker or ABC ID are instructed to arrive at the exam centre an hour before the commencement of the exam.
The closure of the registration window for session 2 marks a crucial milestone for prospective engineering aspirants, signaling the final chance to secure a spot in the prestigious examination. With the exam dates drawing closer, candidates are urged to complete their registration promptly and ensure all necessary documents and payments are in order.
