The Delhi High Court is expected to pronounce its verdict today on a batch of petitions challenging the CLAT 2025 Result for undergraduate candidates. The court will also begin hearings related to the CLAT UG/PG Revised Result for postgraduate candidates on April 21.
The verdict comes at a critical time as the CLAT 2025 admissions. process is currently on hold pending judicial review. The decision is likely to impact the release of the revised merit list and the resumption of counselling for national law universities (NLUs).
Earlier, on April 9, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela heard the UG-related petitions. The court acknowledged discrepancies in the answer key and stressed on resolving the issue swiftly, especially given the time-sensitive nature of CLAT 2025 admissions.
The Consortium of NLUs, represented by Senior Advocate Rajshekhar Rao, admitted that at least one question was flawed and agreed to its removal. A controversial logical reasoning question on homelessness was at the centre of debate during the hearing.
Previously, the Supreme Court had consolidated all CLAT 2025 Result-related petitions under the Delhi High Court to avoid jurisdictional conflicts. Although the Punjab and Haryana High Court initially handled the first petition, the Supreme Court transferred all matters to Delhi.
In a key ruling on December 20, 2024, the Delhi High Court directed the Consortium to declare a CLAT UG/PG Revised Result after identifying errors in the original answer key. The CLAT 2025 Result had initially been declared on December 7.
