Registration for CAT 2023 is now open


Registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 started at 10 AM today, August 2, at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow. On the official website, iimcat.ac.in, applicants can register. Applications for the admission exam must be submitted by September 13 at 5 p.m.Starting on October 25 at 5 p.m., the admission cards will be available. On November 26, three slots totaling 155 test cities will host the tests.

There will be three portions of the test, including:

Section 1: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Section 2: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

Section 3: Quantitative Ability

The choice of selecting any six test cities in the order of preference is available to candidates.

For SC, ST, and PwD categories, the registration fee is Rs 1200; for all other categories, the charge is Rs 2,400. Candidates only need to pay the fee once, and it is not refundable.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted annually for candidates aspiring to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) postgraduate diploma program at the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). This rigorous exam assesses candidates' management aptitude through a written examination, group discussions, personal interviews, and CAT test results. Successful candidates gain entry to the coveted two-year MBA program, which 

equips them with essential managerial skills and knowledge for future leadership roles in the corporate world.

Apart from the MBA program, the IIMs also offer a full-time Ph.D. degree known as the Fellow Program in Management (FPM). This program is tailored for those seeking to pursue research and academia in the field of management.

In addition to this, the IIMs provide a full-time Ph.D. degree called the Fellow degree in Management., there is an executive postgraduate program for working professionals.
