In a move aimed at easing the registration process for candidates, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) has extended the last date for CAT 2023 registration to September 20, 2023. This decision comes in response to the challenges faced by many candidates in gathering the necessary documentation within the initial time frame. The CAT 2023 registration will now conclude at 5.00 pm on September 20, 2023 (Wednesday). It's important to note that there will be no further extensions beyond this date. The CAT Convenor advises candidates to register well in advance to ensure a smooth registration process and avoid a last-minute rush.
Following the close of the registration period, candidates will have the opportunity to edit specific fields in their application form, if necessary. These include:
This edit option will be available for a short period after the registration window closes. It applies only to candidates who have successfully paid the applicable registration fee and registered within the specified deadline.
CAT 2023 is scheduled to take place on November 26, 2023 (Sunday) across three sessions. The test duration remains at 120 minutes, with the following sections:
Candidates will have precisely 40 minutes to address questions in each section, and they will not be permitted to switch between sections during the test. Tutorials providing insight into the test format will be accessible on the CAT website starting October 2023. Candidates are encouraged to engage with these tutorials well in advance.
